OUR STORY
The need for sustainability to be embedded into organisations’ strategies and operations was recognised by us as a growing discipline, and something all organisations need to address. Starting with the formation of our sister company, The Big Middle, we always had the interests of sustainability systems in mind. Developing advanced automation and accelerators to help our customers, we realised there was a gap in the marketplace. This came about because there were so few providers of sustainability software solutions, and none that connected insights with the sustainability actions required. Our customers wanted us to go deeper and offer support that accelerated their transition to a net zero, nature positive future. In 2022, The Big Zero was born, focussed on one goal – Sustainability Made Simpler!

Cancer Council's Biggest Morning Tea
Cleland Wildlife Park
City of Holdfast Bay Replant
Our whole team came together in May to support Cancer Council SA's Biggest Morning Tea.

Our team baked sweet treats and scrumptious sausage rolls to share while smashing our fundraising goal and raising $310!
This money goes directly to supporting Cancer Council staff and patients right here in Australia.
Our Adelaide team had an amazing morning learning about Cleland Wildlife Park's sustainable initiatives and conservation and educational efforts while we performed a variety of tasks including:
- Evening the ground in the koala enclosures to reduce trip hazards,
- Raking wallaby poo for compost initiatives, and
- Clearing fallen bark and branches to support the park's bushfire readiness program
Our Adelaide team got their hands dirty, helping the city of Holdfast Bay replant some of the sand dunes in the area.
Coastal dunes provide a buffer against coastal hazards such as wind erosion, wave overtopping and tidal inundation during storm events. So, it is important to maintain them through coastal vegetation.
